Huh? What are we supposed be looking at there?

Edit: Just saw Loco's link. I guess the cover upside down is supposed to resemble the joker's face with his fingers. Bit of a stretch.

It is a stretch, but the kids' heads as eyes, the Batman & Robin logo as his smile, those tentacles or whatever as fingers...I just think it looks like a cool, creative and crazy homage cover even if it is a coincidence.

just got word from the man himself and here is his response:

"no, it wasn't intentional at all - a total fluke, though I'll need to try a cover that works both ways one of these days."

I can see where people thought it might be a swithceroo seeing a Grant came up with the New X-men logo that worked both ways
