Read a couple of the "Odd Thomas" series, which wasn't bad.. but most of his other stuff is.. tiring.

"Intensity" was the first Koontz book I read, and I probably enjoyed that one the most. Pretty much done with Dean now.

I read my first Koontz book not too long ago after hearing comparisons to King. God awful. It felt like I was reading a fifth-grade book report.

Finished American Gods. Never read anything quite like that before.

Now, to see what the Game of Thrones fuss is all about...

Yep, the avatar is Bronn. The show is really good, hope you enjoy it. I picked up a digital copy of the book, just easier for me to truck around than a hardcover.

I have followed many of Dean Koontz and Stephen King's works. The first Koontz novel I read was "Watchers" and it was very well done. I read King's "Twilight Eyes" and really liked it. You guys should check it out.

I highly recommend the following:

Jim Butcher - Codex Alera series (one of my faves)
Neil Gaiman - The Graveyard Book
Stephen King - Twilight Eyes
Lee Child - Jack Reacher series

Lately, I've have had a taste for young adult novels and recommend the following:

Suzanne Collins - Overlander series
(I am not recommending her Hunger Games trilogy mainly because the last book was a major letdown. Book 1 and 2 were both engrossing though)

Rick Riordan - Camp Half Blood series with Percy Jackson

John Flanagan - Ranger's Apprentice series (I have just started on book 2 but I am liking this series so far)

Recently finished Jim Butcher's "Fool Moon" and just started Alexandre Dumas' "The Man in the Iron Mask".

The "Game of Thrones" books are on my 'To Read' list. Decided to go with my current book since it was light (currently in Brisbane for work and I hate carrying large books on flights) plus it was half the price (prices in Aussie bookstores are ridiculous).
