Earthclan: Startide Rising/The Uplift War, by David Brin

I had picked this up at the used bookstore some time ago and finally decided to read it last night... where I learned that this contains books 2 and 3 of a series. Sonofa -!

So I guess i have to go find Sundiver.

Anyone read this series?

A Memory of Light - Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson

14th and final book in The Wheel of Time series. What a long strange trip It's been. I enjoyed the hell out of it. A strong end to a series that saw it's ups and downs and death of it's creator. I have never put as much time and emotion into a series and not sure I will again. Time to reread from book one maybe?

Nice!

I think there's an upcoming film version of TGG; hopefully it's at least half as engaging as the book.

DiCaprio will hopefully bring his A-Game, as usual.

I always wanted to read the Wheel of Time, but kinda feel scared of it.

I finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I saw the movie first, but think this book had some great added depth. Loved it!

I hear ya buddy, it is a commitment. I have a hard time recommending it even though I love it. It may be easier for people to start now knowing that it does have an ending.

Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

Dicaprio was born to play Gatsby. I cannot wait!!!

I am struggling to get into War and Peace. I may not be in the right mindset.

May go with Book Two of Barsoom, or the Che Gueverra biography instead.

Just finished it yesterday. It was a really long ride and I have to admit I got a little misty eyed reading this one.

Gatsby is really such a good, and quick, read.

Went with a Tale of Two Cities. Never been a Dickens fan, too wordy, but I remember reading cities as a kid, and not hating it.
