Agreed on all counts. The female antagonist stole the movie for me

I watched Premium Rush the other day specifically so I could see Michael Shannon in another role. He's kind of a weird dude and that movie blew. 4/10

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 7/10 Should have known not too expect too much from this once since it's an MTV Films movie and Will Ferell helped produce it.

Man of Steel - 9/10
Loved this film. I really appreciated how the origin was handled through flashbacks rather than making the viewer sit through Clark's upbringing in chronological order. The fight choreography was amazing and the entire scale of the film was just epic. One of the best superhero films ever made IMO and definitely the Superman movie I've been waiting for.

Man of Steel - 9/10. Loved it.
This is the End - usually not the biggest fan of Apatow films, but
I enjoyed this one... my bro-in-law loved it. Saw a midnight showing with him a few nights back, so I was half-asleep but it was still an easy 8/10, iirc.
Schindler's List (did I ever rate this one?) - 10/10; still a fantastic film. The 20th anniversary BD was just released.. scooped it up.

Man of Steel - 9/10
Really glad to see others have enjoyed the movies as much as I did. Like Scott said, it was an excellent decision to flesh out Clark's childhood through important and poignant flashbacks. By taking this approach, the film makers made the film accessible to both new and old fans of the character. One of my favorite aspects of this film is the emphasis of strong father figures. The concepts of nature vs. nurture are prevalent in this film, and the most important anchor for Clark was the wisdom instilled to him by his parents.
The art direction and graphics were superb. The fight choreography finally presented the audience with a vision of what people of such power might look like in hand to hand combat. While it's an amazing sight to see and imagine, it is also frightful one. Just an all around excellent film.

I watched this too over the weekend. I thought it was OK for what it was. Get ready, there's a sequel in the works.

Man of Steel. ?/10 this is one I really need to see again before scoring. It didn't work for me the first time around, but I think it was my mood more than anything else.

Is this a nice way of saying you didn't like it?
