The thing I don't understand is why they called this MK II Raiden as it's clearly their own take on the character. Nevertheless I do like the costume, it's like a classic take on MK9 Raiden - I won't be getting it though, not at this price point.

I'm stoked to get mine as I've wanted a Raiden for quite some time. Given my living space this is the perfect size and anything under $400 that won't take up 1/2 of my display space is a win in my situation.
As for the design, I love it. Not a fan of "puffy" Raiden at all, just looks goofy IMO, and I wasn't to fond of when they started adding armor-like pieces to him in the later games.

I mean I'm not sure which was released first, but Shao Kahn IS in stock at Sideshow as well. And I know people have already posted review videos of both Shao Kahn and Goro so they are both available already. Raiden seems like the newer release to me.

The perfect Raiden IMO. If this was in 1/4 scale I would be very happy. I don't do larger statues of "super" type characters but I think this guy next to a cool Thor would be epic.

Does SS normally get pieces earlier than everywhere else? I have both Raiden and Shao Kahn pre ordered at BBTS and nothing yet

Got Raiden unpacked today. I like it except for the plastic bones that came separated in a bag that you are supposed to place/scatter on the base. Thought it really cheapened it.
