Or some of us have a more discerning eye than others.

If there is something that strikes me as "off" about a piece of representational art (illo or sculpt) on a first glance, I try to ascertain just what it is about it that gives me that reaction. This is especially so when it comes to faces as that is part of my job.

Also there is "off" and then there is "Whoa...that's off!"

I can agree that this is a "decent" likeness and , IMO, it the best out of all the OT PFs thus far- including Han and Luke. But I also think I can see where it could have been fine tuned to be even stronger.

I get how than can be annoying to people who see and estimate things only as they are, not as they might have been.

That all white dress is gonna be a nightmare to clean after a few months on display with all the dust it's gonna collect...

Pass for me, but congrats to everyone else who's been waiting for her

I don't collect Star Wars statues, but this looks awesome!

The likeness to Carrie Fisher is unbelievable. Would love to have this in my collection. But if I get this, then I will need to get a Luke PF and a Han PF. Then maybe Chewie, R2 and 3PO ....talk about falling into a hole.

Is it possible to add a nice sheen to her hair? Carrie's hair was always had a pretty shine. This statue looks dull without it.

I agree that the likeness is pretty good. Maybe the eyes could be a little fuller at the bottom, but overall it's an nice portrait. Light years better than Ford's.

And closer looks will tell, but I don't think the dress hangs as nicely on the statue as it does in the movies. Obviously it's due to fabric difference, but Carrie had shape/curves - this statue doesn't seem to have those.

While I was looking forward to this piece. I have to say that the face looks off to me and the buns are def a bit too large.

I think it is the angle of the photo. Carrie had a button nose and the angle makes it look like it angles downward like a hook nose.

Hot Toys nailed the likeness with their latest Princess Leia offerings...

So Obviously it's achievable...

But as I've said before, it's all moot until we see a production version... They can make the prototype look exactly like Carry Fisher but that doesn't mean a poor paint application won't ruin the whole thing... so time will tell...
