Oh and FTR, I think the Artgerm image where Supergirl is running and changing her look from normal to caped crusader would be a perfect statue. Young, fresh face that isn’t tween and solid pose.

I dunno, I realize when she was created she was very young looking and maybe they went back to that but there was a time in the mid 90s when she definitely didn’t look like a teenager.

This line of conversation is just getting weird... How are people complaining that the fans who want to see a younger Supergirl released are somehow pedophiles? No one's asking for a young face that has her fingers in her mouth while she's bending over with her panties sticking out =/

To be frank, Supergirl is older than a lot of us who post here because she came out in 1959. And it shouldn't matter what age you are if you grew up with her. I mean, what sicko thinks back to a high school sweetheart or a grammar school crush and thinks "Yuck! I'm a pedophile!"?

I simply want an attractive Supergirl with a girl next door face that shows she's younger than Superman. And you can exaggerate her body enough as the entire comic industry does to all sexes and ages of their characters, but I still would want her release to represent someone more youthful in her face and in her body for the sake of the character representation and not for the sake of titillation. Like, if given the choice I'd rather have Mellisa Benoist's body over some porn stars (I don't know who's considered a sexbomb these days. I guess that shows my age lol)

I know when Turner introduced her in Batman / Superman comic it stated she was 16. After that story arc was done she was given her own solo comic...





Even in the movie "Supergirl" she went to an all girl high school so she was a teenager in that also...

I think in the DC's Rebirth she's portrayed more as an 18-19 year old as she's been on Earth for a few years now...

when she first came out back in the 50's she used the name Lynda Danvers to attend college so she was at least 18...

Turner drew her fairly skinny, she wasn't all that curvy... Later in her solo comic (mid 90's) when other artists took over drawing duties she started to become more curvy and older looking..

In the supergirl tv show, Melissa is actually 30 passing on as a teen..so yah, supergirl is really not a teen then lol
