I actually had a comic shop close to where I lived in Chicago as a kid. I picked this up off the shelf myself. This entire Englehart and Rogers run was pure magic for me as a little boy. I was just so blown away by how incredible Batman looked drawn by Marshall Rogers. No one else drew Bats that way back then. The stories and art on that run really left a big impression on me as a kid. Looks like we're both dating ourselves.

It's the fingerless gloves that are bugging me the most. It's just making my imagination of what the rest of the statue looks like go to a very dark place, not in a good way either.

Yep, I loved those issues, too, and the Rogers art was awesome. I remember buying a portfolio of his Batman work.
