I was finally able to get my Mai Shiranui, and overall she is absolutely beautiful and perfectly executed... Her translucent eyes are, at least on paper, a great idea, and if she had been, say, half scale, they would look fantastic. The problem with them is that the translucency does not scale well, and diminishes as the eyes get smaller... At 1/4 scale, they appear too dark except in direct light...This is something the art direction should have picked up I think, but hopefully Kinetiquettes will take this experience and learn going forward... It's not nearly enough of a detriment to prevent me from loving this piece however - she is otherrwise a beautiful work of art and design...

Fantastic, as always. I particular like the show of the back with the way the lighting hits her, real sense of energy and heat.

Thank you Augen! And yes, she's literally dancing around in fire, so I wanted to try to get at least one shot that really conveyed that

I took out the flame that curls in front of her and just displayed it without it, that way it doesn't block the view of her.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

What I love about the kinetiquettes Mai is that her movement is so fluid. the way the flames is swirling around her is just gorgeous to look at, and the statue itself has that Mai Shiranui aura..." Sexy, Beautiful and Mesmerizing."

I have my Mai displayed beside my HMO Morrigan which also has acrylic eyes.

The problem I see with Mai is the curvature of the eyeballs.

Kinetiquettes seems to have chosen to go for a more realistic eyeball size and shape in comparison to the head size, which in scaled down statue form, does not translate well.

The HMO Morrigan clearly uses a much larger eyeball in comparison to the head size, which helped fill out the eye area and eliminate unsightly shadows.

You can see in the close up pictures of the HMO Mai that it has bigger eyeballs.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and compliments. We will keep pushing and doing even better in the future. We have more 1/4 females in the works. This is just the beginning

Excellent photos btw, desertdragon!
