Gizmo is a lifesize statue and actually made by ECC.

Yes it's called a maquette.. my point is that it's lifesize thus easier (and also a must) to do acrylic/glass eyes.
ECC does only acrylic eyes (or sometimes decals) on their lifesize pieces.. all 1:3 scale from ECC/CM have painted eyes.

I don't have a problem if Darkness has painted eyes as long as they look good and glossy

My Darkness half scale bust from Sideshow has painted eyes in it looks great.

Ahh gotcha. To really get that life like effect on the eyes, I believe adding 5-minute apoxey with a hint of purple can give the eyes the real life like look. Anxious to see how darkness will turn out.

Cool, thx for sharing.. as Jerry said, a production sample would arrive at the end of january.. I assuma that's the one lying on the table and we will see a better picture of it real soon.

I'm anxiously awaiting the pics that were promised at the end of January.

From the pic above it doesn't seem like the pants have that copper shimmer the prototype had, but that could be due to lighting.

If this turns out like the 1/3 Akuma qc then it's going to be well worth the wait. If qc doesn't hold up there will be an uproar for sure. Akuma silence all the long waiting negativity once in came in hand. Hope this will be the same.
