It's not sideshows responsibility.

Somehow, Sideshow products got flagged by customs. Generally, that happens following a complaint of some kind, though I'm not confirming this happened here. Thing is, all their displayable product got lumped into that one code. However, Hot toys aren't statues. Moreover, so many Sideshow pieces can also fall under the movie memorabilia code. Anyway, from what I've read on this issue, Sideshow is pretty much done on it.

Could also just be a "review" by Canadian customs. With the drop in oil prices Canada could be searching for replacement revenue.

According to the Fedex broker, sideshow has to deal with CBSA. FedEx will not deal with the changes. They have to make the case to them. Quite frankly I don't know how far they were with CBSA but this needs to get dealt with. It is not the responsibility of the consumer to dispute the harmonized code that CBSA has enforced ssc to use.
Obviously there is an issue here if PCS is allowed to use the right harmonized code when ssc is not right?

I'm just pleased I only have ONE item on preorder with Sideshow and it's not due until Nov 2017. At least by then we should know if this is going to be upheld or changed.

Seems like the CBSA was reviewing Sideshows shipping to Canada and not PCS. PCS volume is probably a small percentage compared to SS no PCS is probably just using what they were before.

The problem is that pCS harmonized code is classified as original sculptures and statuary. That harmonized code is right to begin with. The other one is a tariff HC which is invalid and should had never been used. Since these statues are not made in Canada and there is no Competition, there is no tariff. CBSA got it wrong and ssc should had fought hard that it's incorrect. Consumers like myself should not have to deal with this mess to begin with.

My PF was classified as 6810.99.0080 by Sideshow in the attached customer invoice. Know what that is? Articles of cement. I'm now officially at a loss to figure out what Sideshow is doing in the shipping department for customs.
