Nice write up. It's still not for me, though. I've commented before that the knocked kneed look makes him look like he's staggered out of a bar and waiting for the crossing light to change. And I'm one of those people who find that it deviates too much from the Mignola sketch. But, all that said, it does look good when displayed with the others in the series and I get all your points in your review, pretty much nodding my head as I read through your write up. Good job.
When you described the bat rope as a new addition, did you mean compared to the prior sculpts? I ask becase the back cover full blown Mignola image has him holding the bat rope, I thought.

Thanks for the great comments!
Yes, the other five b&w statues do not include any accessories of any sort. This one was also unique since it incorporate the bat-rope and batarang into the piece, as show in the sketch.

Very nice review Mike. The pictures look great also. This is a very unusal paintup, trying to copy the original 2-D art. I recall Moores Thor v Silversurfer being painted up in much the same manner and liking it.

Yeah, the Surfer was painted that way. Not the Thor piece, though.

Thats what i meant wktf. The SS was painted to represent the original art much like this Batman. I think its great that DC are taking a chance like this with their sculpts.
