It would also be funny if Tom Holland were, I don't know, offered another property (maybe a Disney property like um...the star of a new Star Wars trilogy) and he um, decided he didn't want to be Spider Man anymore. I know he has a contract with Sony but it doesn't mean he HAS to do it, right?

Actually, depending on the terms of a contract, sometimes an actor can be prohibited from working at all if they don't fulfill the terms.

Interesting. And Holland's may have that. I guess I'm just trying to think of a way for Holland to put any pressure on Sony to get back to the negotiating table. I guess the director is not inked to anything yet either. Man, Sony sucks. (But Disney's 50% request was a little extreme as well unless it was their initial offer in the hopes of settling in the 25-30% range.)

Here's an article about Edward Norton and why he was almost run out of Hollywood at one point (this was pre-Hulk, when he made a nuisance of himself). Basically, he signed a contract promising to work on a certain number of movies with Paramount, but he kept delaying fulfillment to the point that Paramount was going to sue him and prevent him from taking any other roles.

Norton was a great Hulk, but I don't think he would've fit in with the rest of the Avengers.
