Art about Jesus and the Devil - Tempt the Messiah

Tempt the Messiah - a comic about the Devil tempting Jesus in a desert, in the holy city, and on a mountain.
Symbolic and poetic, a story about good verses evil. This is a work in progress - feedback welcomed.

At the bottom of part 3 is a link that talks about the art process/ method, if you are interested in such things.

This can't be a coincidence...Not 1/2 an hour ago I was researching the Internet for artist's renditions of the Crucifixion of Christ...I am painting Andrea Miniatures "The Passion" for my Niece and wanted to get a good idea of what color to paint everything...The ground work is easy from present day photos...But minor details are a "fixation" of mine...Any suggestions...?...Great work you have going there...

Love that artwork!

I was always fascinated with the story of their encounter.

Why was the devil depicted as a woman?

Tempt the Messiah

I have a very modulated way of dealing with my anger. I have always tried to understand the other person and invariably I've discovered that somebody who rubs you the wrong way has been rubbed the wrong way many times. However, I would love to pummel Rosie O'Donnell with a ball peen hammer because the human race just doesn't need her."
Fred Rogers

Did Mr. Rodgers really say that. Funny...coming from him.

And 'Nuff, my suggestions for coloring what you are doing - make everything desaturated, except for Christ. It seems that artists typically do that (movies included). But make the blood bright red. And make the Messiah bright - which usually means white. This may invite criticisim. I think that when artists do that, they are not trying to make a racial or political statement about the ethnicity of Christ. It relates more to the desire to have contrast in the piece. You make the background dark, and Christ light. It is all about contrast. Without contrast, there is no...beauty.
