Yep, calling the unmasked portrait one of the worst female headsculpts ever is just stupid. It could have been better but it's still beautiful.

The 1:6 would be what I get. I really like the pose and the story this tells. I have always wanted a Catwoman that shows her actually having fun in the middle of a heist.

The faces though?.ugh?.and the hair on the unmasked portrait is bad. The paint is also of concern, but perhaps if we make it known how concerned we are they will be prepared

Awesome mad props to being able to display this statue in two ways. Thank you!!!

People on FB are absolutely trashing the unmasked portrait. Of course this is not the first time this has happened. All I can think is what do your girlfriends look like? Would a woman in real life who looks like that not be pretty? Unfortunately, there aren't too many people running around with jet black hair and green eyeballs.

With my luck they will probably change it and I won't like it anymore. LOL

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Yeah, I'm worried about this now.

I'm seeing a lot of hate on XM's female portraits to the point where I feel like it's just cool to hate XM's female portraits now. This head is by no means horrible. It might need a bit more definition, but it's not the worst portrait out there. I hope XM doesn't make rash decisions based on negative criticism. I give them kudos for trying to make someone who looks like they have more of an expression than the default Sideshow 'woman with a slight smirk'.

The more I look at it, the more I would gladly take it over the new Sideshow Catwoman which appears too cartoony and oddly proportioned, especially compared to their recent Black Canary and Huntress.

Hmmm, I seem to be the odd man out as I kinda like this piece overall. Yes, the sloppy paint going outside the lines is a major misstep... but looking past that, I like the sculpt of both portraits.

I really like this smart move, too. It shows that XM is conscious of collectors' ever decreasing display space and are trying to ease at least that concern.

The Balent era was a fun time back in the day and I have some fond memories of those stories. Although it isn't my favorite Catwoman look, I don't hate it. Hell, this statue captures all the good things about that suit and era for me. Well, almost... the unmasked portrait needs more curly and voluminous hair for that era. But it still captures a general Selena style/feel.

As always, there is one exception i can think of, Katya by Gentle Giant who ships with a decent enough looking Doberman Pinscher. I love Doberman's
This is true and the Doberman you posted did come out great. I would also say the 1/4 Tweeterhead Miss Kitty came out pretty well, as basic as she is. The cats on this piece seem far more detailed and I would place between the Doberman and Miss Kitty (so still in a "good" range).

I'm much more impressed with this piece overall than the newest Sideshow 1/4 Catwoman holding the necklace / Bat-cowl. Much better posing and storytelling involved for pretty much the same concept of her robbing Bruce Wayne. I have that one on pre-order already, and I'll probably drop it in favor of this one depending on the price.

The paint slop around the flesh is odd to showcase, but it is a prototype. I don't think they're going to aim for paint slop in production. Maybe the new direction is to under-promise on the paint and then IMPROVE in production, instead of the other way around that happens so often.

That said, I'd personally put this piece far above the last two Sideshow Catwoman PFs. But it's good that collectors have so many Catwoman offerings to pick from!

The Tweeterhead cat turned out better than most. Probably the best cat to date.

As much as I despise the newest Sideshow PF (I think it looks like a vinyl Kryptozoic figure), the portrait itself is bad-ass. Imagine a portrait like this on this XM statue. In addition, this darker makeup and smirk is WAY more Balent than what XM has done. With that being said, the portrait is the ONLY thing I like about the SS. Everything else on the XM is much better.

I'm literally on the opposite end of that spectrum.

I love the unmasked portrait (but as crazy as it sounds, she does look like an ex I used to date) but I'm not a fan of the unmasked one

While I don't share as much disdain for the SS piece overall, regarding the portrait,
