I think quite a lot of people will change their mind after the full reveal. Well, I know I am ready to lol. I can’t wait to see all five PFs in 360 degrees.

A lot is being said about skin colour denoting race....obviously that is true in many ways, bit i am male caucasian but i have a darker tanned skin, i also have feiends who are very pale and are also male white. If jimmy did a comic about us you would all debating that i was asian....
I was actually highlighting her facial features (eyes mostly). Drawn completely differently between Psylocke and Jean Grey hence why I never saw her as Caucasian.

I'll defer to your judgement since I am no where near Asia. So do you think the look of this PF is covered within the East Asian variety?

No, the PF definitely doesn’t look 100% asian. Maybe can pass as Eurasian. She looks caucasian mostly though.

I think that's the issue. It doesn't appear to have any East Asian features.

And if I didn't mention it previously, I'm also of Chinese descent. Maybe that's why I'm taking a real dislike to this facesculpt, more than any in recent memory. Or ever actually.

In all honesty when I look at this facesculpt it reminds me of those old Hollywood TVs shows whereby they would use makeup on Caucasian male actors to fake it when they were suppose to be portraying East Asian parts. It didn't work back then and it doesn't work now.

But given that many here don't have a problem with the facesculpt, maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there. A personal prejudice perhaps.

I think we all have our biases. To me the portrait definitely looks more geared towards the west but that doesn't bother me one iota since I never interpret Jim's art as depicting an East Asian.
But others who see his art register that she has East Asian features that I am not picking up on.

"And it doesn't work now"....i really dont think that was their goal. But i get what you are saying. I can understand if thats what it reminds you of....but i think that would be a very specific bias.

At least we havent had anyone demand the face be changed because it looks like their ex girlfriend.
