I just think Superman is such a hard character to translate to the screen. He's just not that interesting & is too overpowered. What also hurts this franchise is that they keep recycling the same villains & lets not forget the dorky costume.

I am not getting the brouhaha over this image. I really like what i see. I think Caville looks the part, more so that Routh ever did. He almost has a Welling quality to his look. They seem to have similar body types. I have no problem with the hair at all. I think the curl should fall naturally. The one thing that has always bugged me is how forced the curl is. It makes their hair look like a wig even when it isn't.

As for the color I like the saturation punch Cully Hamner gave it. But in looking at the original image it looks as though they have toned down the saturation. It seems to have a bit of a grey haze over it. I would not be surprised if the final film looks more like the saturation adjustment. Snyder has a thing for color. I can't see him making a grey/muted movie

Like the rest of you I am kinda tired of the texture on the suits but i don;t mind it either. Spandex is hard to pull off by itself. I am not really digging the texture on the "S" it seems unnecessary. It should stand out as a separate piece of the costume.

I really honestly see Superman in this image and i am pretty excited for the film. I want to see more images!

The costume is a little dark, but remains close enough to the iconic look to make me happy.

I cautiously look forward to a new Superman film.
