So the 12" Optimus Prime went up on BBTS and was listed at $400 and I nearly lost my shat. 
I read somewhere that part of the pricing has to do with the base. For me this is a pass but not because of the statue but because of the price. The monster grand daddy Prime will be where I will put my money and this was to be a nice addition to the set up. But not for $400. I do hope IA sells these out so they can continue the line but I hope they re-evaluate how to get the cost down such as less base on the next ones.

When I.A. wrote $200.00 to $300.00 I already figured would be more like $300.00 to $400.00. Would have loved if the could have kept in the two hundreds. No way PCS can make theirs much cheaper than this one, and forget less than $150.00.

Very true but with competition out there now including the typical Takara stuff, asking for a premium might be tough. I wish them well though because I want to see companion pieces to Optimus.

Ouch. Glad I'm getting the big guy but won't be adding mini Optimus to the collection. Like every other statue out there, just too much money. Have to watch where every dollar goes!

Damn ...hate the price. Was expecting between $200 and $300.
Still ...about 30% of me wants to get this. And if I do, then it'll be the only Optimus Prime statue I'll get. Odds lean towards passing, tho.

Actually ...I would've loved to have seen more in this line. A line of 12 inch Transformers is a pretty cool thought.

Yup, more expensive than I was expecting/hoping.
I was going to buy all of everything, however it's starting to take it's toll.

Maybe I won't be able to get all the large / small statues and cherry pick between the sizes...
