I am SO disappointed that ARH released the photos early. Was enjoying the hype and the gasket blowing on certain forums!
I have looked over these dodgy pictures time and time again and am very much on the + side for this piece.
The obvious tweaks are the lack of battle wounds, blood etc and the hair on Conan should definitely be the square cut, classic R E Howard described style. It is simply too ingrained in Conan lore and McFarlane totally respected this despite the furry underpants comic versions of Conan that abound with wild mane.
The girls pose looks to fit right in with a terrified Damsel in distress who is spasming in fear uncontrollably. Hence, the apparently weird positioning of her hand and the contorted face
Glad they went with a more exotic type female, but her eyes need to be dark to match her hair. Collar and cuffs I'll leave to the more discerning buyers
The snake looks very serpentine in that it looks as though it can fair move at a quick pace when needed as it has not been over bulked into a python type, surprise attack type of slow snake. This one looks as though it will actively chase you!
It is definitely an all or nothing piece and the long awaited Seen in Person reviews will nail or fail it.
The paint job is the biggie for me as photos of ARH pieces just look to flat, 'spray painted' for me so all you viewers please check this out for me
