Just have to remember to say the words . . . . "Klaatu birata nikto" before taking it to the register.
I have that old BOTD DVD version buried somewhere in my collection. Seems like as good a time as any to update

Got John Carter BD +Dvd combo haven't seen it, but looks entertaining enough even with the bad reviews

Of course, I'm not sure the cover is real human flesh

Hmmm?? I'd be interested to find out what transfer this is. The most recent "Screwhead Edition" from Universal suffered from a sub-par video transfer and was subject to some pretty heavy DNR. So much so that I decided to wait for a re-release. Might want to research it a bit Nick. Cool packaging though.

Not sure about the transfer Scott, but I'll take a look. I suspect it's nothing new

I still haven't seen this movie. Maybe now's the time...

I didn't know about the rights issues with Suspiria and figured it was just a matter of time until it was released on Blu. I have the old 3 Disc (Anchor Bay?) set. The one with the soundtrack by Goblin. I'm ok with that for the moment, but if it doesn't look like they'll be releasing a domestic Blu I may have to go the import route. Let us know how it looks once you see it Scott.

Will do Tony.
Yeah the rights issue is a bummer. If I thought there was a good chance we'd get a BD here I'd be patient but I just don't see it happening anytime soon.
I had the same set as you but sold it with the rest of my DVD collection. The DVDBeaver link I posted above compares it, the UK release and this Japanese King Records release if you want to check it out. Really good informative review.

I'll check it out, DVD Beaver is a great site for PQ/AQ reviews, especially on imports. I love the way they do the side by side comparisons between 2-3 versions, no one else does that.
