lol, that recast looks like dookie! In that very first picture, his positioning is different from the real thing. It looks like he's slouching farther inward which gives the appearance that his left hand with Cerebro is positioned higher than it should be (he should be sitting a tad bit more upright). Either that, or perhaps his head sculpt looks to be facing a tad bit in a different direction. And check out that thumb gap, haha! That seam at his thumb is worse that Sideshow's Green Hulk PF seam. Cerebro is leaning too far back as it levitates above Magneto's hand...probably due to that ugly gap between Magneto's thumb and hand. The pictures make the paint app look terrible...especially the last few professional pics in the auction using the helmeted head sculpt. The Sentinel's hand has waaaay too much shadowing going on. It was a nice try at a matching paint application to the original, but it still looks like ----. So happy mine's authentic. That recast....what a pile.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

These recasts showed up in China last year. Many ppl have bought them already. "the price of authentic is too crazy now" as they said.
As a collector myself I m really shamed of these recasts being made in my country but as a single person I can do nothing about it. I really wish XM can take some action to punish the manufacturer and prevent things like this from happening again.

it is next to impossible to stop.

There are huge companies with dedicated piracy departments tackling the problem and they barely making a dent. Same with various government agencies throughout the world.

what's really scary is that they even make fake medication, aircraft parts, and surgical equipment etc...

Yeah this is a long and hard battle. We've been trying to do something about it, including appointing lawyers in China to assist but it's... well... not as simple as it seems. We won't stop trying though. It takes money and resources away from concentrating on our actual business but we will keep on trying to find ways to protect our customers. The registration mechanics is just one strategy. We have some new ideas coming along and we will test them before announcing.

One way could be to educate buyers that copies are made of inferior materials and an inferior paint application, higher chance of defeats like your statues leaning from improper support. And if anyone finds out you have fake one you will ridiculed for the rest of your life

You could also have the artist of the statue hand sign the bottom of the base with a bright ink color.

I'm really glad to hear this. Please never give up and when you find them please sue them and make them pay for stealing your products. What scares me is when they make the smaller parts that no one will ever know it's real or not once mixed up with the real statues. Keep looking for them XM. Hope you get these ****** in time.
