Selling on Ebay and getting the package back

I sold a statue on ebay to a buyer who had a gibberish name and 0 rating, he/she paid for the statue so I shipped it but it came back a few days ago from USPS saying it was undeliverable and there was no forwarding address, I emailed him through Ebay asking if his/her address was wrong on their Ebay account but there has been no reply back

Curious if this has happen to anyone else, given his name was gibberish and a zero rating makes me wonder if this was some sort of scam that didn't go to plan for him

Might have been an overseas buyer using a freight forwarding service that didn't get the details right. I wouldn't sell to anyone using a freight forwarding at first, then just added signature required so the original stop had to sign for it. Seemed to protect me as a seller.

This particular issue had not happened to me but ebay has not been fun. I sent a New In Box lego star wars to someone, box got dented in transit and had to discount $50.00. It was close to taking the full refund but the shipping screws you. 25.00 to ship to them, then I would have to pay 25.00 back, so the 50 was break even.
