This seems like a logical next piece for their Gamerverse line. Captain Marvel is pretty popular in general and there's a chance this could go up for PO around the time the next movie comes out.

Her books seem to sell well enough, the first movie did pretty good numbers, and most of the collectibles of her seem to be held in pretty decent to high regard.

Her sales are actually awful to mediocre at best. They constantly have to reboot her books because her numbers fall off a cliff after a few issues.

Comic sales now for most are poor. Wonder Woman doesn't sell well, but they crank out statues because the fans buy merch without touching the books.

i will be interested to see how the next movie does without something like Infinity War propping it up, and how many of her statues look like old Carol vs the new version

Wonder Woman comics sell FAR better than Captain Marvel. It's not even comparable. Wonder Woman at issue #70 literally sold just as well as Captain Marvel at #2, the year her movie released, no less. She's also far more recognizable and popular in general than Captain Marvel.
Regardless, I'm talking about Carol's entire history as Captain Marvel, not just presently. Her sales are awful, consistently. They've restarted her book like 6 times in the past 10 years because of her unsustainable sales drop off after the first few issues of each of her runs.
