that is the thing about these studios. Half the time the production pieces are no where close to how good the proto type look like. they even have this bait and switch techniques where they will show you amazing statue, not just rendered CGI. But what you get is a disaster. I remember those Tifa Mayflies statue released and O2 one. they were plain awful. So with these Chinese studios whether they are licensed or not, you have to be careful and wait for in hand photos before buying.
Also when they make these statues, they rarely follow the actual in game model. instead to based it on some fan art work, anime style character or doll like you said. I mean look at Alicina, yeah her portrait looks pretty, but that is not how she actually looks in the game. i guess they make these doll like statue or anime like for sale purpose. Like trieagle statues. they look amazing but barely resemble the characters from the game.
here are the two 2B statue i opened today, you can see they dont look anything like 2B. the first one is from dtalone and other from moonlight. on moonlight instead of giving two head pieces, they made it that you can swap hair. issue with that is that the hair color don't match (front and back portion).
Another thing i noticed with multiple Chinese studios is now many statue come with a coin. i don't see the reason why, i rather have them give us a display card or poster.
