In Jurassic Park, the Velociraptor demonstrates great intelligence. As Muldoon prepares to shoot a Velociraptor in the distance, a second raptor prepares to ambush him from the side. When he discovers the trap, Muldoon remarks "Clever girl." “Clever girl” would become a popular quote among fans.

After the film's production, Spielberg gifted a few key crew members with encased 1/5 models of the Velociraptor. These model are based on the Velociraptor maquette created for the film by SFX guru Stan Winston and his Academy Award-winning team. The original maquette was given to the ILM model shop, where the hand-painted gift models were created.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park in a special way, Elite Creature Collectibles is proud to present the 1/4 Scale “Clever Girl” Maquette from Jurassic Park (1993) in collaboration with ILM Artist Bitan. With hands-on access to the original raptor maquette and high-resolution 3D scanning, Bitan faithfully recreated the model at a larger 1/4 scale. The maquette is painted by ECC key artist Oskar Ankarudd.

Given the maquette’s incredible details, you may even find features that were impossible to see on the silver screen.

I wish the base was a bit more imaginative. So boring. The raptor looks fantastic.

Guys this is a reproduction of the crew gift some people received after principal photography of Jurassic Park from Stan Winston Studios. I had the good fortune to see this in real life at a Propstore Exhibit in London years ago. This is the collectible I’ve been waiting for for 30 years. My God I cannot believe this. Please let the price be reasonable! Please!!!

Wow this looks amazing. ECC's approach to the JP license is shaping up to be everything I have ever wanted from JP collectibles: just the original dinosaurs, recreated as faithfully as humanly possible, with no tacky add-ons.

Been hoping for a raptor maquette like this ever since Chronicle first got the license, so this will probably be a day one purchase for me. My only request/complaint is that I wish they had an option for a much smaller diorama style base. Something that lives in the same universe as the Rex they did. I appreciate that this a carbon copy of the maquettes that were given to the cast, but the size of the base as it is now limits the display options for this piece rather severely.

Regardless, a massive win for ECC.

Absolutely stunning, as some of you said ECC approach with the franchise has been flawless.

This will be mine, just a perfect replica.

Sounds like there will be a version without the cover? Much like Blue Sphinx, I wish that version had a smaller base. It's a classy piece with a SFX pedigree (something I very much appreciate from this company's JP products), but without the case, there's really no need for a base that long.

I'm no fan of Prime 1's long bases either, but at least they make them into dioramas. If ECC wanted to go minimal with the standard version, why not go all the way?
