I'm a little bummed that he's not larger. I was hopeful he was gonna be 2 feet + tall. This new ECC piece is perfectly in scale with the Mattel Super Colossal T Rex. a nice size, but i would've liked to see something inbetween the Super Colossal and the CC 1:5. I just measured my Super Colossal and it's 15" tall and 42" long.

Im 90 percent certain The ECC Rex's base was a scanned Horizon Rex. Then they adjusted it to be more full. It's too similar in the face to that vs the 1/5th maquette. The JW rex also looked like the horizon rex because they use that 16th scale model in production.

At minimum I would expect Cinemaquette/ECC site to have it.

The whole body of this Tyrannosaurus Rex launched by ECC is based on SWS scanned reconstruction of the original model.
The platform is rich in details, the vegetation is rich, and the rock texture is real.
This T-Rex full length portrait was painted by well-known Hollywood painters Joey Orosco and Oskar Ankarudd.

Among them, Joey Orosco is the painter of the original Jurassic World movie. In addition, the certificate will also have the signatures of the SWS and ECC core artists.

I don’t think I’ll be going for this one as it reminds me too much of the JW rex and not enough of the JP rex.

It looks as if it’s already has a leaning problem from certain angles. It doesn’t inspire confidence.
