Trumps and other non-USA gaming cards

I was asked to POST more pics of one of my gaming card sets, so I've decided to show one each from several different sets.

1st two cards are from a German Trumps set. If I remember correctly they were sold as a set.
The next 2 are from the UK. Believe the Heroes and Villains were sold seperately, and were released first.
Next 3 are from 3 newer sets.
Followed by 2 from 1977. Believe the one on the far right from the UK and the other may have been from Australia.

These came from various countries like Italy, Hungary, and Mexico.

I have the set with that Ghost Rider card in - I played it all the time as a kid. There is some great art-work on the cards in that set.

I wouldn't count on much of a nest egg. The trading/gaming card market has gone to Sh!t.

I was goofin, but I was meaning overall collection....Gaming has always sucked. It is such a fad thing, like pogs.....can only last so long. ... never been a fan of gaming, just collect for the art....

Whew, I was afraid you were serious. I've got a shelf full of binders holding a boatload of Marvel / DC / Star Trek complete sets and their value has plummeted. And I've got all the chase / promo cards too so these are complete sets. If I only could just get my investment back, I'd be set for statues for a few years.

Yeah, these things go in cycles. When the market gets good, you might consider unloading, what we need is a fresh new generation of kids to hit the age and financial stability to track down some of that older stuff. I figure about 2012-2015 might see an interest for collector cards again. Especially if these Comic Book/Superhero movies continue to do well..........lets keep our fingers crossed.....

By 2012-2015, the digital age will be so advanced no one will be interested in cards. Probably statues/busts will be replaced by 3dimensional holographic images which can be shown lifesize and rotate between images.
