Charged $2559.00 USD=$3101.25 CAD funds...unfortunatlely they do not lower the value ever,so my blood sucking gov't will be slurping another $400 in import fees,but what you gonna do

Wrong, CM WILL change the declared value if you ask them to. I asked them a while ago and they offered to reduce it to $500. I have it in an email from them.
Just gatta talk to the right person. They'll tell you if they do it they won't be liable for breakage yada yada.....just say yes you understand and they'll do it.
These things are packed like tanks anyway. The odds of something breaking in transit are slim.

I had a long conversation with them today and was told absolutely no,and wherever I am getting my info is dead wrong i must of spoken to a manager or something because we spoke for at least 30 minutes.I guess its too late now since the little bugger has been shipped
