Statue of Liberty Buys It!
Good lord, how many times do we have to see Lady Liberty bite the dust?
Which movie (from what you've seen so far) has the most tragic ending for the Statue of Liberty?

Exactly!
Still a horrifying image at the end, genuinely scary, not like most of the Hollywood 'scary' films that are coming through recently.
Lou, you realise how much we agree on stuff-it's pretty cool!
Not that I wanna go pick out curtains or anything!

To me having the head chopped off and thrown into a building than down the street is worse than just being buried in sand or snow.

The simplicity & eeriness of that Apes scene is what makes that last moment an enduring image in cinema.
Coupled with the sound of the crashing waves makes it doubly awesome.

I agree w/ Primal. One of the most memorable scenes in cinematic history. I am still leaving the door open for "Cloverfield" though...might be able to top it.
We never should have taken that gift from the French, anyway...doesn't bother me to see it destroyed, lol.
