"Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares" where he goes into failing resturants is a great show. OK, it's a week of filming edited down to one hour, but he does really seem commited to help the owners (often more than they seem to be to helping themselves) and can bring around some drastic changes.
I find the US show almost unwatchable. All the contestants seem self obsessed, and all they show is tirades of abuse from Ramsey. On Kitchen Nightmares, his passion for good food and his sense of humour comes across.
He also has another show called "The F Word" which is pretty funny too.
