My wife and I saw Hall and Oates, Junior Brown, Chris Isaak, and we are going to see Los Lobos this Thurday, World Party this friday, and The big one for me, THE WHO in October ...front and center 16th row on the floor.

stonewall or whatever the hell they were called last night at local bar. it's come to my attention that the majority of people playing music these days shouldn't be. for true.

Alot of times they allow it but must need some kind of ID or bracelet to actually drink.

yep, ghost is right. they let kids, well, like 14+ in but disallow alcohol to them.
and yeah, pinback is great!

Hey Ghost and Homer. I'm surprised anyone has even heard of Pinback. I've seen them every time they've come to town. I really don't know what my favorite song is...there's too many great ones.

I dunno about most ppl but most of my favourite music comes from the independent scene and labels. Only real mainstream I ever loved was the original rock that's now considered classic. Most of my music you won't really hear on the radio.

I might suggest giving Sirius satellite a whirl. They have a few channels that cater to independant tastes, and a lot of others worth listening to. The CBC station plays all Canadian Indy, which is some of the best tunage I've ever heard.
