Apologies - should have indicated that this was not from TH in any capacity.

I personally love this versus the original one - much more power and would line up better against the Black Adam. Truly hope it sees the light of day...

Again, sorry for the confusion.

that is ok-no worries-

I actually like the fact that you posted it. I do not think it is that much different than the first one other than the fact that the base is larger and more detailed than the first one.

If we do see a Shazam 2.0 it would be nice to see him in a flying pose.

Yeah, not much difference.

What is interesting is the base on the rejected piece is so much higher - which most of us find to be cumbersome to display. So TH took time to make a nice edit there, but now on current statues the bases are big...soooo....what has happened to make this (sometimes unnecessary) change?

I wonder if DC is requesting that change

I do remember reading that when Bowen was doing Marvel statues I think when either Phase 5 or 6 came about Marvel wanted all the statue to be 13 inches tall so the one way that was done was by making higher bases

I think this may not be a rejected piece but maybe the artist who redid Black Adam showing off what he would have done with Shazam. He wasn't involved until Black Adam switched to a 2.0 sculpt from what I remember. Shazam was already done by then. You can see finer detail in this sculpt than the original.

Huh. I think you're right. The final Black Adam 2.0 looks exactly like the render (except for the hands). So the Shazam in the render should've been 2.0?

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

No worries, mate. It's actually refreshing to see some behind-the-scenes stuff and concepts that almost never see the light of day.

I wonder why only Black Adam got the 2.0 treatment.

Still like Shazam 1.0, tho. It came out great. The difference between Shazam 1.0 and Shazam 2.0 are minimal.
