ARH Tarzan Primal Rage - custom Jungle Battle version!

The beast has arrived!

This has always been my favourite statue ... but it just felt unfinished. It was epic but there was so much more I thought it could be.
The paintjob in particular seemed too lazy, muted, and nothing popped.
The gorilla face wasn't great to start with in the original sculpt and got worse in production.

All credit to Dave Britton (https://www.deviantart.com/brittonsconcoctions/gallery/) for making this epic creation come to life!!
Dave posts here under Arkalogik and offers ARH customization.
Highly recommend working with him and he constantly went above and beyond. Some of the suggestions I actually had to decline - like turning the base into a potplant with real flora! (due to customs in Australia) And using a real old native arrowhead to sculpt the spearhead from (weight concern over time) - but I dug the constant enthusiasm!!

List of changes:
(at this point there were so many I'm probably forgetting some!)
- Tarzan repainted for better skin tone and details
- Scalp scar added and eyes changed to blue (both per the novels)
- Loin cloth changed to leopard skin
- Muddied up, especially around the feet
- Knife hanging around the waist with leather strap
- Extra hand holding spear added (wooden shaft)
- Gold ring around the left bicep
- Gorilla face completely rebuilt
- Gorilla paint touched up including silverback added and mud added
- Base repainted and plastic trees, vines and moss added. Muddied look added to finish.

Now this is Primal Rage!

I have the same statue and that repaint looks awesome... To bad he doesn't live closer to me or I'd have him redo mine also, shipping is just to expensive for this statue given the box size..

Yes I was only able to do this because ARH had a spare and Dave picked up from them himself and took it to his own studio.
The box is so big we had a lot of problems organising shipping from him to me in Australia.

Oh awesome! This was such a fun project to work on and if anyone else is looking to have a statue customized, repainted or repaired get a hold of me at destinylab@gmail.com I have a lot of the molds as well for ARH statues so if you want extra heads or weapons or customized parts I have been doing a lot of this lately!

Here is a link to a bunch more pics and here is a before and after! https://www.deviantart.com/brittonsconcoctions/gallery/
