Repair Question - clear resin

Didn't know exactly where to put this, but...here it is. Anyway, I have a question regarding clear resin. I recently picked up a Bowen Super Skrull FS. The flame hand snapped off during shipment. I'm not sure if I should simply glue it or drill and pin it. The hand is clear resin with what looks like an extended portion that fits into the arm. This doesn't leave me a whole lot of room to work with (width or depth). So, I'm wondering if clear resin is more problematic to drill in than regular resin. Is it worth the risk? I'm currently leaning towards gluing it, but any input would be appreciated.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Personally I'd drill and pin it. Even if its a really short pin because gluing it might not last forever and if it falls off then that's the end of that part.

I've cast some parts in clear and opaque resins and I'm pretty sure both types can be drilled / worked.

Are you worried about it cracking more easily?

Yeah, wasn't sure how clear resin would hold up. Small area to work with, on top of that. That's a good point about the hand possibly falling off over time. I'm still leaning toward just gluing it, though...I picked up some Loctite epoxy. Apparently, that should have a stronger hold than super glue. I don't know...I appreciate the info, in any case.

yeah i would pin it, the hand looks too top heavy to just glue alone, i see it just falling over after a while. just use a really small bit and a thin nail cut down to size as the pin
