Yes, the movie was based on the book which was a childhood favorite of mine, probably why I like the movie so much even though they took several liberties from the book.

Y'know, I always wanted Disney to buy a licence to produce Marvel films.

don't ya hate when they do that, you read the book and love it, and can't wait to see the film and then they change it up on you... they did that with one of my favorite books Eragon, loved the book but the movie was horrible...

I don't mind certain interpretations on literature, because I can separate the two ... I mean certain stories will simply not fit the Disney mold .. Hans Christian Anderson, Victor Hugo and The Brothers Grimm especially.

I admit to never having read Eragon, but I thought the movie wasn't anywhere near as bad as everyone said it was, I enjoyed it.

if you had read the books you would understand, they changed everything... and I know they have to change some things when movies are made, no way to have everything thing in the movie. But with Eragon they really did completely change it... I think if i hadn't read the books i would have like the movie.

Would that work with anything other than Power Pack?
Although I'm sure they would produce a fantastic cartoon series they did great with Gargoyles; They could probably do a great job with a Fantastic Four series the one thats currently on tv is terrible.

I just think the heroes would all look great in their classic costumes in a Disney style - it would actually give Marvel something to rival the Bruce Timm look that DC fans get to enjoy (and now, courtesy of your avatar, the Northsar Friends too!)
