I would have like to see him go to the Rangers as well.

I have to hand it to the Phils they did an excellent job of swooping in out of nowhere. They got an excellent deal (5 years for a 32 year old pitcher).

Yankee fans are going nuts over this one. It's amazing how they felt entitled to his services. A lot of them are talking like their season is already over.
Seriously? You guys have a $200 mil payroll & your season is already over? ARod, Cano, Tex, Jeter, Granderson, Mariano?
I think the Yankees should be more concerned with the age of their team.

Good old METS just sit there & watch as the Phils get better & they keep talking about how Wright is the face of the franchise & they can't let him go. Watch Reyes have a monster year & get signed by the Yankees for 2012.

Granted you guys have a great Staff, but your Phils had him in 09, and had Halladay this season and you Guys said the same thing the last 2 years...

Now As a Yankee Fan, Did I want him, Yes! Did I want him for 7 years Hell No!! I was really hoping he went to Texas, because at 32 he has like maybe 5 good years left if he stays healthy.
What I do not understand is why choose Philly for Less $$, You just went to the WS with Texas and live like and hour away from the stadium, he is going to be hated in Texas way more then in NY.
