Any word on if you are gonna get a Classic scale Megatron?
I sure hope so. Being the classic scale, I would assume that more characters will be made in this scale than the museum scale, no?

I hope so. How can they not make a Classic scale Megatron to go along with Classic scale OP?

Honestly I just got mine, and I didn’t like it all that much.

There’s pretty much no paint on it, other than for the panel lines and ageing effect. The cell shading is created by having nearly the entire piece covered from head to toe in thin decals. There are scratched/removed decal areas, misaligned decals with the underlining sculpt, punctures in the decals (where there are underlining panel lines), cracks in the decal where misalignments occur, and decal flash around the windscreen area because of the curves in the sculpt.

That sounds awful, and yet every photo so far looks really good. Would you mind posting a couple photos of yours? Maybe you got a lemon?

Ultimately if it looks nice on display, I feel it doesn't matter how they get there. But cameras sometimes do lie. Does it not really look that good in hand?

I don’t mind the use of decals. Just that they weren’t applied all that great by PCS’ factory.

I believe one of my favourite pieces in my collection the Prime 1 DOTM Optimus Prime uses decals, the only difference being that I can’t see any issues in its application.

I didn’t take many photos, but here are a few of the noted issues.

But what I can’t believe is that no one even mentioned the primary use of decals, though prior to preordering I had thought that was the most likely application to produce the cell shading effect.

When on display, it looks fine. But once you look up close (if you know what you’re looking for, and aren’t completely blind) you’ll easily find the problem areas. But once it’s in a cabinet you’ll never be close enough to notice them.

I thought this was painted... Surprised decals were used.

Since the 1/4 ones are likely to not be any different, I'm going to pass on the whole PCS TF line. Besides questionable longevity, decals usually have a visible print resolution, which would annoy me to no end. I prefer paint, 100% of the time.
