After the eyes are painted in, I go back and take a very very pale flesh color and airbrush that color over the eyes to fade them back and get that cataracted dead eye look. Then with a transparent raw umber, that is misted over the eye and the "whites" of the eyes are shadowed to get some depth. Everything is sealed up with Testors Dullcote and the final gloss on the eyes were done using 5-minute epoxy and applied with a toothpick.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......it would add a gloss to an area...but not have the depth you can get from 5-minute epoxie.
