Ares The God of War - By Erick Sosa

Hello Guys,

I know it's been a long time since we started talking about producing Ares The God of War, but due to some delicate circumstances and some personal problems, Erick wasn't able to finish this piece yet.

Here we have the final design for this piece that is being sculpted right now as we speak!

I know Erick will deliver a great statue, so I'm sure that the waiting will be worth while in this case!

He apologizes for the long wait but also guarantees that we will have a killer sculpture!

This piece will be on the same scale as all the others in this collection, but it will be about 12 inches tall, just the figure without base, so we can imagine how huge it will be!!!!

I really like this design, and it's exactly like I envisioned him! Erick did a great job capturing the essence of Ares IMO!

Thank you Arahom,
I must say I cannot take all credit, your input and the input/design abilities of the Silva brothers helped develop this!
Very excited to get this done!

Erick,

I believe Ares will be one of the best and most important statues in our collection.

First, because Ares is the first of the Olympian Gods we will release, and it will set the bar for the rest of the group, and second because it is a very anticipated character!

So I want to make sure to ask you for the best sculpture you can make! We all know how good you are, and we all have seen the incredible quality of your work!

This Ares is very important to all of us from ARH studios, fans, and collectors alike!

best,

Sorry but I am not familiar with this Ares (Mars). Never seen him bald. Plus in battle he wore a helmet, shield and spear.

Yeah, this is not quite the classical Greek look, but if all our statues have helmet, spear and shields, it would be a bit boring! Besides (since he really doesn't exist, and he is just a mythological character) I decided to portray the essence of what I think Ares would be, not how he would look like for the ancient Greeks.

In my view, Ares "The God of War" should look exactly like Erick's design since he represents, war, destruction and death! The image of a "bald ravaging warlord" is in my opinion the best way to portray Ares!

As I said, it is the essence of Ares that I'm most interested in, not the same old look of a Greek warrior!
