My thoughts also. It had to grow on me during the first season, but the second season was pretty solid.
The 1,5 hour finale is pretty sweet.

Stranger Things 8.5/10

A well done Series, of course they left some loose ends for subsequents Seasons.

I was really surprised the lack of 'pretty/gorgeous' people in the Series, I mean they all look pretty regular joes people, a move really out of the box and nice touch at there I think.

The Tunnel - Season 1

Based on the Swedish/Danish TV series The Bridge, this British/French remake first aired in Europe back in 2013, but only premiered in the states on PBS this summer. It's very good, but I think it's better viewed all at once because there are so many plot threads which all tie in at the end and waiting a week in between episodes, it's hard to remember them all so I may binge watch this again on disc at some point. And I very much like actress Clémence Poésy cast as the French detective opposite Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones' Stannis Baratheon) as her British counterpart. 8/10

transformers prime - 9/10

this show is more than meets the eye... this is very similar to clone wars in a lot of ways. it gives the impression this is straight up for kids but its fun for all ages, they kick things off in the first episode and let you know the stakes are high. as the show progresses the characters and story becomes more complex. there are a few "throw away" shows sprinkled in the series but overall all three seasons are very solid

the animation is simplistic in some ways but still impressive, clean and consistent. some of the robot designs are awesome, soundwave being my favorite, while some styling cues are a little strange (im looking at you robot eyebrows)

great show, I recommend it to anyone whos a fan - this is what the movies could have been, what they should have been

I am half way through the series and it is pretty great so far. Plus it's like a greatest hits of HBO stars, from Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, mostly cameos but great to see the familiar faces pop up.
