EFX Enterprise D
I just read this over at the Replica Prop Forum.
"Hi All!
We are excited to announce that we are starting our first studio scale model! To commemorate the 25th anniversary of TNG, we are working on an incredible model of the Enterprise D. Greg Jein has generously given to us original castings of the 4 foot model that he made in 1990. (he remade the D for the 3rd season since they wanted a model with more detail)
So here is what we would like to know. Would you like to see a model made exactly as the original model, ie, 4 feet long, or a scaled down version to a more manageable 32-36", like the Master Replicas TOS Enterprise?
Thanks!
Bryan"

I found some pictures of what I believe is the 4ft model that sold at Christies Auction, and added them to my original post. That one sold for $576,000. Hopefully the EFX Model will be more affordable. If they land on the 4ft model, I will almost certainly be buying it.

I'd consider getting one depending on price. Have no idea where I would put it. Would also like a Constitution class Enterprise from TOS.

The size of the MR version worked for me.
4 feet is a bit much.

QMX does a custom build of a Polar Lights 1/350 scale Constitution Class Refit. I think they want $5000 for it, very pricey. If I am throwing down 5k, I want something just as pretty but larger. I dream of a ceiling in my home that closely resembles The the late great Star Trek Adventure in Las Vegas.

I couldn't believe they sold that model. I still have the two auction catalogs.
A 4 foot model is too big for me. It would take a two or more people to deliver the box.
