Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thor PF and Captain PF in IKEA Detolf?
Those 2 including my SS Iron Man and Iron Spidey would fit perfect in a ikea Detolf!
I remember seeing some people display it in their collection that way.
But guys the limit per self is 6 kilo
Aren't you affraid to put a 12 kilo thor or iron spidey in there?

If I remember correctly they have 2 plates of glass holding up each statue.

I have seen quite a few threads now that request advice on putting heavy statues on to Detolf shelves, my question is does anybody know of an incident where somebody's Detolf shelf has actually failed under the weight of a certian statue?
I cant recall any disasters on here.

I have Thor, Ironman, Iron Spidey and Thor all in the BOTTOM of my Detolfs. Adding another glass will just add more weight to the rods.

I haven't seen any specific cases of broken shelves, but I have read that they can occur. There was another forum member who found a way to add strength to the Detolfs.
He took the weak spots (the weld points) and redid them to strengthen the metal support. He then used two glass shelves per "strengthened" support.

Yep, I think this is the real concern when throwing weight on these shelves, not necessarily the glass itself.

There's a Hulk PF in the photo to the right. Just looking at the size of the base, it doesn't look like it would come anywhere close to fitting in a detolf. The sliding doors of that cabinet are wider than the base of the detolf, yet well smaller than the base of the Hulk.
