MERA Women of the DCU Bust arrives

Lookin' good, my friends, lookin' good. This is one of those that I wasn't quite sure about when preordering, but once I got it I fell in love with it. The Dodson busts are really growing on me and a couple of them surpass the Hughes busts as my favorites. I really dig the pose on this one and, like Supergirl before it, I'm loving the way the eyes are done. The only thing I'm really not keen on are the hands...there's a real lack of definition, but thankfully it's on the back of the bust where it won't get as much viewing.

That was the thing that jumped out at me when I was looking over my Mera bust -- the weird fingers! But I'm fairly certain the way most people will display her it won't be an issue at all.

It'a a relief. The paint looks clean but the fingers still look awkward.

Man, until you mentioned the hands, I was gonna write that this bust rocks... too bad, kind of reminds me of the 1950's Flintestone comic book drawings. That said, the rest of the sculpture is pretty damned cool...
