Huge missed opportunity in my opinion.

You know what would be cool? If they released an exclusive version of this one with them in their classic costumes. That would be awesome.
I think the statue is great but I do feel that two 18" MK9 Sub zeros is a bit too much.

Well sure, that's obvious, but Syco already released the MK 9 Sub Zero and Scorpion is on pre order. So why rehash the exact same costumes in another 1/4 scale statue?
The fatality itself originated from the original game, so it just seems fitting on so many levels to go with the original costumes.

Seems unlikely for production cost reasons, but that would be incredible.

Yeah, it's not likely gonna happen. But it would rock.
Anybody know what the switchable arm is gonna be like? Or is the switchable arm, his right one with the frosty resin? If anybody knows, let me know would ya?

Both companies have said they are going to do Klassic costumes, neither has annouced when specifically. Anyobody ever stop to think that WB is dictating when these pieces come out (as MK9 is their baby and they want to promote it first and foremost)?

I just tend to feel that Syco felt their first 18" MK statue was not up to par with the stuff they are working on now.
Don't get me wrong, the first Sub-Zero is nice, but it could be done better and have a more inspiring pose! I think they know that! I give much credit to Syco for reworking their products after fan critiques.

I've always thought Syco could do whatever they wanted. What they do first needs to be approved but nevertheless.

Hey that might very well be so. The first one is cool but this new Sub zero statue is more impressive.

I don't know for sure, but there has to be something holding them back. I'm not surprised we haven't heard anything from PCS as everything they work on is Top Secret but as much stuff as Syco has announced in the pipeline and there is no discussion of the Klassic stuff. They know it would be a goldmine so something tells me they have to hold back...for now.
Maybe I'll put the question up on their FB page next time I'm on.
