Well the out of the box video changed my opinion somewhat. It’s not as bad as I thought. Still not nearly as good as original portrait but just okay.

I am one of these guys who considers this portrait awful.
Clearly, SSC chosen realistic portraits - not comics inspired- for their X- (wo)men line. Most of them are. I think this one is not. Such a face can’t exist in real life. So, if not human, maybe alien?
And for those seeing " asian vibes" in that thing, oh come on, it’s just insulting.
On the good side, the paint job is very well done and will probably save this Psylocke from a disaster.
"Turd and poo"? You certainly can do better than that...
I noticed you used the word " hate" twice in your post. Does it mean the Godwin point could be reached in your next one?
We are just talking about polystone statues....
And why do you involve cats? They don’t deserve such mistreatment.

I dont know what you people are talking about, while the proto face looked alien, the new ones looks far more realistic, i dont see any impossible facial features in the production piece.
The portrait reminds me a bit of Sonoya Mizuno, only Sonoya has a bigger eyes, because shes mixed.

Yeah and who put you on the "what Asians should look like" committee?
Did God create all Asians from a template and printed them out?

Sonoya Mizuno would be offended. Sonoya also has a wider nose, fuller lips, face isn't as long and eyes aren't at that much of an angle, different eyebrows and pretty much a different face.
What is going on here, I feel like i'm in an episode of the twilight zone.

This her in Ex Machina, difference is Psylocke has an angry look on her face, while Sonoya has an emotionless look because shes playing a robot.
But the similarities are there, high eyes, sleek slender jawbones, pointy cheekbone, round chin.
Sonoya does have somewhat of an alternative look, but a beautiful one, Psylocke looks very similar to me.
Ps, Sonoya was skinnier in Ex Machina, then she is in your pictures, thats why the similarities are smaller in your examples.

The portrait is better than the last reveal we saw, but it is still a bad portrait. It looks like an someone who is learning how to sculpt and trying his/her hand at an Asian face by memory and not doing a good job of it.
