My favorite aspects of the clear bases are the elegant look, the fact that light passes through them helping illuminate the statue if you have it on a riser and/or a glass shelf and most of all the fact that they don't add any unnecessary height to the piece like so many of the environment style bases do.

Ok, so, we've just witnessed a forum member get b*t*ch slapped for harping on about rising costs......can we see the same happy slappy for the clear base debate? Every damn time GG release a statue the same trolls roll in and inform us they're not buying because of the, now STANDARD, clear bases......am I the only one sick of this?

LOL... the clear bases are what they are, agreed. At this point you'd think collectors would be accustomed to them and just accept it. Good thing the detractors have colorful and environmental alternatives with Sideshow.

I really detest screwing in the base. I always fear the screw might strip or if you force it, the statue might break.

I think that once a collector has a handful of these pieces with the transparent bases the GG stuff will come together as a unified and unique display. Particularly when ones with slightly different orientations, like the Black Widow, get integrated.

Where about in California is Spec Fiction? Curious because I live in Southern Cal also and if you have a shop that's not far from where I live I could just pickup the statues

I dont mind the look of the clear bases but hate how easy they are scuffed or scratched. And I really would rather have an environment base for shanna.
