Wow looks fantastic and only $45? Definitely a buy for me. The look of Ariel is what the PCS statue should had looked like!

The Diamond piece is a bit more comic book stylized, while the rebooted PCS is a bit more realistic - almost like a film maquette.

Two different price points, two different interpretations, hopefully both will appeal in different ways.

So any sneak peak on the new PCS statue? I really think even if you made the PCS realistic, you can give it more spunk or attitude. IMO the hair sculpted was the main issue. It needed more flow.

Hope to show the new PCS piece soon, but I don't want to derail the Diamond thread.

I think all artists try to anticipate comments and work out problem areas in any piece to the best of their ability, but that process can become never ending if they try to accommodate every opinion.

Sometimes it's choose your battles - do you want a perfect nose or perfect hair? If you're really fortunate you don't have to choose, but in most cases you have to target where the sculptor spends time refining.

The PCS exclusive sold out, yet we still ultimately rebooted and put any financial return another year + out in an effort to make it a stronger work -- so we are really trying.

I'm happy the Diamond piece is to your liking!

The PVC and mini-mates look good...
I'm still waiting for the PCS one though

Can Diamond Select make a statue version made of cold cast porcelain? I will buy it in a jiffy!

I gotta have her in stone.

I think what's great about this line is terrific quality at a lower MSRP.

A higher end porcelain or poly-resin edition would be beautiful, and I think anything is possible if the statue community is vocal enough about wanting one.

Email Chuck at

and let them know you'd like to see a premium edition of the Darkchylde: deadly dreamer piece.

Very cute, I like the PVC.
Still a huge fan of what Jerry did with Darkchylde though, I hope we end up seeing a final product from PCS. You can't top the light-up base and great sculpt.
