Dang! I'll only see Adi at SDCC this year so I'm hoping to make the list again. If so it will be my 3rd straight commission from him at SDCC.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

so i thought i had more at show full pieces than i actually do. for the most part i've been doing busts on my jams and its pretty hard to screw those up (although some people manage to do so).

For full figures, here's one's that i have enjoyed:

Freddie Williams - always bings the heat. Here's a DD that I'm pretty sure he did at show.

Matteo Scalera - another artist that alway's knocks out a quality at show piece.

Andy Macdonald - someone that I am not overly familiar with but was knocking out great pieces at show.

http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryp...?piece=1008179

Jock - if you can get him will do a classic Jock piece.

http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryp...?piece=1117019

Dan Jurgens - for the price and for it being classic Jurgens, you can get something pretty cool. Not as finished as other pieces but signature Jurgens.

Dale Keown - I didn't get this one personally, but my understanding is that this is the level of detail that you can get from him at a show.

Or at least wall paper the corner of my room

In addition to putting out tremendous work product, Adi and Tamsin are super nice and friendly and accomadating from how they handle art sales, to commission and on lists, to their sketch a day sale. With that back drop, I prefer buying art from them and sending them a good portion of my art budget then sending it to people who are not as nice or pleasant.

There are a few artists whose art I truly enjoy and that I own many pieces from. However, witnessing and reading how they treat customers or handle doing con sketches has left me now willing to purchase art from them at shows.

Isn't it crazy how that works.

Some recommendations and examples

Steve Epting will only do 1 or 2 of these type of pieces per show, but he puts everything into it.

Greg Land tends to bring some nice looking pencil pieces that he finishes at the show. Not cheap, but well worth it!

Mike Perkins has always delivered some nice results for me.

Laura Martin is great at adding color to really bring pieces alive.

Michael Dooney

Gene Gonzales tends to be a bit more affordable, but always brings a good bit of quality.

Brian Stelfreeze is always fun to talk to and does outstanding work!

Paolo Rivera as well http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...88&GSub=153144
