Wow...that's some serious cash for legos! That's one lucky kid!
I got the Sith Interceptor with Darth Malgus over the weekend. Love the Malgus minifig....it might be my favorite Star Wars mini.

scored the Jor-El minifig off eBay. when i was looking (didn't take long btw, there are tons), i noticed some guy selling a giant lot of them. how the hell does that happen?

That always happens, I'm pretty sure there's people that just hoard those VIP points or other discounts and wait for minifig exclusives to come up so they can reduce the price of their orders that way.
