I've crashed through my ceiling before, but I'm not at a point where I'm willing to go over 2K for ANYTHING, and over 1.5K only for select few items.
I just can't accept having so much tied up in one piece. As qz often proclaims, these are mass-produced (albeit in smaller numbers than typical mass-produced items). They're not investments, and I'm not 'investing' more than 2K in any of them, at this time.
PCS likes going after these high profit margin items. They don't need to sell that many to make it worth their while.

Give it time, and i bet Sideshow will be knocking 25% or more off of the price.

We'll see. Ant has said no more 'discounting PCS items'. From which product, going forward, I don't know. But I believe he said that if any do try to discount, they will be cut off for future products.
I think this was part of the nebulous 'Phase 1', that I've never seen officially announced. From a stream, I believe.

They want people to order direct from them and if people know it’ll be a lot cheaper from Sideshow they won’t bother. Can’t expect Sideshow to keep your products in their warehouse forever if they can’t sell them at retail price.

You can bet this thing will only be made to fill the EXACT orders they get.

The actual price on the PCS website states: $3,599.00
$401.00 less than $4,000.00
$3,599.00 still seems high.
PCS would have absolutely factored in the ability to slash 25% off and still make a profit. That's my guess.

addition size says 50 for gold exclusive version now sure what will be regular version. but im still guess less than 100 or even 75
